The Mayor and Council of Atmore met in a regular meeting on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the Atmore City Hall with the following members present:  Webb Nall, Jerome Webster, Eunice Johnson, Shawn Lassiter, and Chris Harrison.

A quorum being present Mayor Staff called the meeting to order. Eunice Johnson led in prayer, followed by the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes of April 11, 2022, regular meeting – A motion was made by Chris Harrison and seconded by Webb Nall to approve the minutes of the April 11, 2022 meeting as written. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

Eunice Johnson – Essential Pandemic Package – Councilmember Johnson announced that they give out a pandemic package to the first 200 people on May 28, 2022, at the Houston Avery Park from 9-6. The packages will contain hygiene and baby products.

Board of Zoning Adjustments Reappointments – Mayor Staff announced that Voncille Stallworth and Chapman Maxwell have agreed to serve another term on the Board of Zoning Adjustments. A motion was made by Shawn Lassiter and seconded by Eunice Johnson to reappoint both to another term. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

Planning Commission Appointments – The Planning Commission has two vacancies that need to be filled. Lori Stinson and Angela Leachman have both agreed to serve. A motion was made by Chris Harrison and seconded by Jerome Webster to approve the appointment of both to the Planning Commission. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

Mayor Staff announced that Poarch is holding their annual Hazardous Waste Drive on April 30 from 8-12 at the Poarch Fire Station. They accept TVs, automobile batteries, paint cans, etc.

A motion was made by Eunice Johnson and seconded by Jerome Webster to adjourn. Vote: all ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
