Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Pelham hereby confirms the Mayor’s appointment of Anthony Romano of Pelham, New York, to the position of Firefighter (Recruit without EMT) Job Class Code 0106-01 from Westchester County Civil Service Eligible List # 64-991, effective February 24, 2026, at an annual salary of $39,570.00, subject to the requirements of Westchester County Civil Service, the current Village of Pelham Professional Firefighters Association Collective Bargaining Agreement, Village of Pelham Employee Handbook and any other applicable regulations in place and for a probationary period of one (1) year; and Be it further resolved, that the Village Administrator is authorized to take the necessary actions to effect this appointment. Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Pelham hereby approves and endorses the submission of the grant application for the Westchester County Stormwater Management Law grants program relative to the North Pelham Watershed Flood Mitigation Project; and Be it further resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Pelham commits to providing the required 50% local funding to meet the required 50% match of the program and assumes the cost of all operating and maintenance costs and commits to passing a budget inclusive of these costs; and Be it further resolved, that the Village Administrator is authorized to execute all documentation necessary to complete the grant application and accept any awarded funds.
