SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION
CONCERNING: Election of a Parks and Greenspace Board
Vice Chairperson
BACKGROUND: In Section 5.c of the City of Spring Valley Village Parks &
Greenspace Board Rules and Procedures policy, adopted
June 2025, it states, "A Vice-Chair may also be elected to
serve in the Chair's absence."
The Chair shall preside over meetings, act as the primary
liaison with City staff, and oversee the general conduct of
business. The Vice-Chair shall carry out those duties if the
Chair is not available.
The Parks & Greenspace Board has not yet elected a Vice-
Chair since the adoption of the updated Rules and
Procedures. At this meeting, the Board will discuss
nominations and elect a member to serve in this position for
the remainder of the current term.
