Commissioner Mark Simmons moved to approve the minutes of the March 13, 2019 meeting. Will Foss seconded. No opposition. Motion carried. The monthly budget report was presented. Finance Director Jim Larson provided a indepth description of the report for the committee members. No action was taken on the report, as Commissioner Mark Simmons requested a meeting with Mr. Larson. Commission President Bernie Dardis requested that staff provide the numbers regarding lodging tax. No applications were submitted. For new business, the committee discussed the vacancy on the committee. No action was taken as Commissioner Mark Simmons requested more information on the bylaws of the committee to better understand the requirements of the committee members. The committee requested staff look into the bylaws and proceed with voting at a later date. Regarding Tourism and Events Project updates, Ellen Rossow presented an update on West Fest 2019 planning. $1500 in sponsorships were collected and parade registration was made available online on April 9, 2019. Regarding Tourism and Events Project updates, Ellen Rossow presented an update on the West Fargo Street Fair. 68 total vendors were chosen to Page 2 of 10 [PAGE 3] participate and eleven food vendors. Staff hopes to include a beer garden in the area and has received $4000 in sponsorships. Regarding Tourism and Events project updates, Ellen Rossow shared that 9 food vendors had been chosen for Cruise Nights. $2900 was collected in sponsorship funds. No non-agenda items were presented. The committee received correspondence from the West Fargo Police Department regarding the donation of $1000. Commission President Dardis adjourned the meeting.
