The Minutes of the Regular Meeting are as follows:
Call to Order
County Judge Joe Fauth III called the meeting to order at 8:30 am
Grimes County Elections Administrator - Rachel Walker
1. Consider and take action to certify and canvass the returns for the November 4, 2025 Constitutional
Amendments Election and authorize the County Judge as signatory.
Grimes County Elections Administrator - Rachel Walker. Early voting in person between the Historical
Courthouse and the Navasota Center was 1,433 people, 8 voters vote limited ballots (just recently moved to
Grimes county but have not updated your address to Grimes County by the cutoff date, but you still have an
active Texas registration, allows you to vote for Statewide and Federal races, in an even year if there are any
District level races you are allowed to vote for that as well) 42 voted absentee ballot. On election day there
were 2,077 in person voting. Total tally was 3,560 people cast a ballot in Grimes County which was a 16.66%
turnout of our 21,374 that are eligible to vote. All 17 Constitutional Amendments did pass. Ms. Walker stated
she is still working on a dollar amount of what the election cost the County. County Judge Joe Fauth III asked
Ms Walker if she, the Election Board and Election Judges are all satisfied that the numbers she presented at
this meeting are true and correct. Ms. Walker stated yes everything has been received and tallied that was
eligible.
Motion by Phillip Cox to Approve to certify and canvass the returns for the November 4, 2025 Constitutional
Amendments Election and authorize the County Judge as signatory. Seconded by Michael Raska.
