Miotke and to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the agreement on behalf of the City. In addition, authorize the Mayor and Comptroller or Clerk to sign the necessary warrants and the Treasurer to issue payment, as outlined in 8-A. Motion unanimously adopted 26-038 Motion by Councilwoman King, seconded by Councilwoman Bryer to approve a budget amendment within the Treasurer's office approved budget for fiscal year 25-26. The amendment would not change the Treasurer's office's overall budget totals. • Move $1200 from supplies 101-253-728.000; the balance is $3,569.65 • Move to education/ training 101-253-960.00; the balance is $2,176.00 as outlined in 9-A. Motion unanimously adopted 26-039 Motion by Councilman Saab, seconded by Councilwoman Bryer to accept a donation in the amount of $100,000 from My Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit organization, on behalf of the Dearborn Heights Police Department for the sole purpose of supporting and enhancing public safety through the implementation of the Axon Drone Program. The donated funds shall be deposited into a restricted account and shall be used exclusively for public- safety purposes related to the purchase, implementation, integration, training, licensing, maintenance, and long- term operation of the Axon drone program that the department has been in talks to purchase. These funds shall not be transferred, reallocated, or expended for any purpose other than those expressly stated herein, as outlined in 9-B. Motion Defeated [PAGE 3] 26-041 Motion by Councilwoman King, seconded by Councilman Constan to approve the Master Listing Agreement, OMNiBUS Agreement and the Addendum to the OMNiBUS Agreement between the City of Dearborn Heights and Keller Williams agency. In addition authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign on behalf of the City. In addition, to bring back property listings for council to accept, as outlined in 9-C. After further discussion, the motion was amended to reflect the following: Motion by Councilwoman King, seconded by Councilman Constan to approve the Master Listing Agreement, OMNiBUS Agreement and the Addendum to the OMNiBUS Agreement between the City of Dearborn Heights and Keller Williams agency. In addition authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign on behalf of the City. In addition, to bring back property listings for council to accept. Furthermore, to amend the contract to indicate that the Broker fee is two percent and buyers fee is one and a half percent and direct Corporation Counsel to amend documents accordingly, as outlined in 9-C. Absent: None. 26-042 Motion by Councilman Saab, seconded by Councilwoman Bryer to move that Proposed Ordinance H-26-01, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DEARBORN HEIGHTS, PROVIDING THAT CHAPTER 1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF DEARBORN HEIGHTS, BE AMENDED BY AMENDING SECTION 1-11 PERTAINING TO ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS REGARDING MUNICIPAL CIVIL INFRACTIONS AND BY AMENDING SECTION 1-13 PERTAINING TO THE SCHEDULE OF REDUCED FINES FOR MUNICIPAL CIVIL INFRACTIONS APPLICABLE IN CERTAIN, SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES, be considered read for the first time, as outlined in 11-A. Motion unanimously adopted 26-043 Motion by Councilwoman Bryer, seconded by Councilman Constan to approve the following resolution regarding amending the Business License fee schedule: WHEREAS, the City of Dearborn Heights currently imposes fees upon business owners to license their business in the City; and WHEREAS, there are currently approximately 730 licensed businesses and 94 unlicensed businesses in the City as of January, 2026; and WHEREAS, the current business license fees vary based on type of business, but range anywhere from $25.00 to $400.00, with the average fee being around $150.00; and WHEREAS, the current total of revenue generated from business license fees is $36,500.00; and WHEREAS, I am requesting an increase in the business license fees to $500.00 for new business licenses and $300.00 for renewals, effective February 1, 2026; and WHEREAS, these increases would raise the projected total business license revenue to $219,000.00, which is an increase of $182,500.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Dearborn Heights hereby authorizes the above amendments to the business license fee schedule, to be effective May 1, 2026, as outlined in 11-B.
