Brentwood Blvd, Brentwood, MO 63144. He immediately led the Pledge of Allegiance. ANNOUNCEMENTS APPOINTMENTS PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS Police Department Recognitions The Police Department recognized the following officers with a Chief’s Letter of Commendation for their work on a threat to the YMCA: Lt. Josh Bowersox Lt. Todd Lambert Sgt. Amon Figgs Det. Phil Meyer Det. Alex Wilcox Det. Richard Petitt Officer Aladin Husidic. Corporal Hoppler and Officer Slater were also recognized for their work during a FLOCK camera alert at the Mobil on the Run. Both cases led to arrests. Announcement and Swearing of the new City of Brentwood Fire Chief Mayor Dimmitt announced the appointment of Ed Beirne as the new Chief of the Brentwood Fire Department. The speaker, Thomas Abt with the University of Maryland will address violent crimes in municipal areas, utilizing a program exhibiting success in regions such as Baltimore. Alderman Plufka reported the 1/28 Public Safety Committee meeting. Alderwoman Parker Tice reported the 1/21 Ways & Means Committee meeting on. Alderwoman Goad reported the Ward 2 meeting on 2/11 at the Community Center; 6:30pm. Alderwoman Sims had no report. Alderman Gould reported the 1/29 Communications Committee meeting. Alderman Lochmoeller reported the Ward 3 meeting on 1/27 at the Community Center; 6:30pm. Alderwoman Harter had no report. Alderman Erger reported the Brentwood Forest meeting on 1/27 at 6pm. CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT Public Works Update - Sanitation Schedule PW Director Gummersheimer announced changes to the sanitation schedule. He noted, effective January 1, during weeks of holidays there is no yard waste pickup. On those weeks the trash pickup is moved back a day so that trash is still picked up during the week and to eliminate the need for staff on Saturdays. OLD BUSINESS (Amended) Bill No. 6582 - An Ordinance Approving The Site Development Plan And Authorizing The Issuance Of A New Conditional Use Permit For T- Mobile To Operate A Retail Store At 1201 Strassner Drive, Within The Hanley Station Development Center In The UD-Urban Development District - 2nd Reading Attorney Hetlage provided the title only reading of Bill No. 6582. Director Kelly noted that no comments were received and the correspondence was included from the property owner regarding the designated parking. A motion was made by Alderwoman Tice and seconded by Alderman Gould to perfect Bill No. 6582 into ordinance form. (Now Becomes Ordinance #5211) (Amended) Bill No. 6583 - An Ordinance Approving An Amendment To Ordinance No. 4051 That Authorized A Comprehensive Sign Plan For The Hanley Station Development - 2nd Reading Attorney Hetlage provided the title only reading of Bill No. 6583. Director Kelly clarified that the amended bill includes language regarding neutral color to be used for signage for consistency. A motion was made by Alderman Gould and seconded by Alderwoman Tice to perfect Bill No. 6583 into ordinance form. (Now Becomes Ordinance #5212) Bill No. 6587 - An Ordinance Enacting Emergency Measures To Extend The Continued Use Of Temporary Parking Lots For Brentwood Park - 1st and 2nd Reading Attorney Hetlage provided the title only reading of Bill No. 6587. Director Gummersheimer explained The two temporary parking lots are needed to provide overflow parking for Brentwood Park. Per Municipal Code Section 605.1600, Temporary Parking Lots, the permitted duration for such use is 180 days. The permit for the temporary parking lots was previously extended by 90 days, revising the expiration date to January 26, 2026. Staff also looked into the drainage issues and have determined a product and process to help reduce the runoff. A motion was made by Alderman Gould and seconded by Alderwoman Goad for a second reading. Unanimous vote in favor taken; MOTION PASSED.
