Pursuant to the requirements ofS ection 19.84, Wis. Stats., notice is hereby given ofa meeting oft he Village ofR ichfield Board ofZ oning
Appeals, at which a quorum oft he Village Board may attend in order to gather iriformation about a subject which they have decision
making responsibility. The meeting will be held at the above noted date, time and location. Notice of Village Board Quorum,
(Chairperson to announce the following if a quorum of the Village Board is in attendance at the meeting: "Please let the minutes reflect
that a quorum oft he Village Board is present and that the Village Board members may be making comments under the Public Comments
section of the agenda, during any Public Hearing(s) or ift he rules are suspended to allow them to do so.''.)

7. ADJOURNMENT - The Board of Zoning Appeals will adjourn and then reconvene for a second meeting at 6:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. A separate agenda for that meeting will be posted in accordance with State Statutes.

posted and/or published in accordance with the Laws of the State of Wisconsin. It is possible that members of and possibly a quorum of members of other governmental

1. Call to Order
Administrative Services Coordinator (ASC) Brad Calder called the meeting to order at 5:00PM.
ASC Calder asked if there was a motion to elect a Chairman for the meeting.
Motion by Board Member Schmidt to nominate Board Member Brian Gallitz Chairman for the
meeting. Seconded by Board Member Richard Schlei. Motion carried unanimously by voice
vote.
2. Verification of Open Meetings Law Compliance
ASC Calder stated the meeting was noticed and posted according to the law.
3. Roll Call
In attendance were Chairman Brian Gallitz, Board Member Mark Schmidt, Jerry Wold, and
Richard Schlei, 1st Alternate Lisa Becker, and 2nd Alternate Dick Gellenden.
Also Present: Administrative Services Coordinator Brad Calder and Village Attorney John
Macy.
4. Pledge of Allegiance
Chairman Gallitz led the Pledge ofAllegiance. .
5. Approval of Minutes

Motion by Board Member Schmidt to approve the minutes from February 23, 2022, as presented.
Seconded byBoard Member Gellenden. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
6. Training Session Conducted by Attorney John Macy
Attorney Macy and the Board ofZ:oning Appeals Members discussed Wisconsin State Statutes
and case laws regarding variances; It was shared with the Members that additional training
would be offered in the fotnrepripr. to any hearing.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The Board of Zoning Appeals adjourned at 6:16 PM.
