A. Motion to Acknowledge Special Recognition of Carolyn Nelson for over 10 years of service with

4) Sheriff:
A. Motion to approve the following personnel changes.
Remove Robert Griggs as part-time Patrol Deputy effective April 9, 2025.
Remove Darius Hickman as part-time Patrol Deputy effective April 9, 2025.
Remove Jason Hunt as part-time Patrol Deputy effective April 9, 2025.
Remove Frank Russo as part-time Patrol Deputy effective April 9, 2025.
Move Michael Landrum from Patrol Deputy to Patrol Corporal effective April 10, 2025.

B. Motion to accept the following Order of Forfeiture from Circuit Court as follows.

$494.00 with the Sheriff receiving 80% and the District Attorney receiving 20%.

5) Building Code:
A. Motion to have public hearing dates set before the Board of Supervisors for the following addresses
in reference to non-compliance in violation of county codes and derelict property:
• 9 Elmer Lee Rd (mailing address 374 Bradley Rd)
• 2610 Fords Creek Rd
6) Central Dispatch:
A. Motion to remove Shanna Spiers and Hannah St. Amand from part-time employees for Central
Dispatch effective April 8, 2025.
B. Motion to approve the resignation of Aubrey Nicole Smith from full-time employee effective April
20, 2025
C. Motion to approve the hiring of Sara Janes as a full-time Dispatcher effective April 24, 2025.
7) Coroner:

A. Motion to request the Board of Supervisors' approval in declaring Mrs.Kathy A. Bowren as a
pauper.
8) County Administrator:
A. Motion to authorize the Board President to sign a Letter of Agreement with Slaughter &
Willingham, PLLC for planning and consulting services.
9) County Engineer:
A. Motion to acknowledge the receipt of bids for the Soccer and Football Field Project at Bill Watson
Ball Park.
B. Motion to approve the Construction Pay Application No.1 for the Hwy 26 Widening Project - Pearl
River County Industrial Park.
C. Motion to authorize payment of $2,800.00 for the purchase of LSBP-55(40) S. Valley Rd. Parcel
No. 1 ROW Easement. (Amount to be fully reimbursed by MDOT-OSARC-LSBP grant)
D. Motion to approve the Construction Change Order No.1 for the Grade Drain and Base Project -
Pearl River County Industrial Park Project. (Additional Earthfill)
E. Motion to approve the Construction Change Order No. 2 for the Site Grading Project - Pearl River
County Tech Park (Additional Earthfill)
F. Motion to approve the Construction Pay Application No.1 for the Site Grading Project - Pearl River
County Tech Park.
G. Motion to acknowledge receipt of quotes for the repair of the bridge on Hilt Fornea Rd and award to
the lowest bidder.
10) Tax Assessor/Collector:
A. Motion to approve disposal of records in the Tax Assessor/Collectors office
B. Motion to approve hire of Loretta Conerly as full time deputy tax collector beginning April 24, 2025
C. Motion to approve Reductions of Real and Personal Property

11) Consent Agenda Items:
A. Motion to acknowledge the order rescinding Jansen Owen as Special Defender of Lunacy
Commitments effective April 8, 2025, and appointing Tyler Alexander Special Defender of Lunacy
Commitments commencing April 8, 2025 and continuing through September 30, 2025.
12) Grants Administration:
A. Motion to acknowledge the National Day of Prayer and authorize the Board President to sign the
National Day of Prayer Proclamation.
B. Motion to approve application and grant award of the Keep America Beautiful 2025 Great to
Greatest American Cleanup Cash Grant and have the Board President sign related documents.
C. Motion to apply for and accept a grant award from Keep Mississippi Beautiful "Be Beautiful -
Spring Community Grants" $2,000.00.
13) Travel:
A. Motion to approve travel for Justice Court Judges Ben Breland and Donald Fail to the MJCJA
Summer Convention June 28-July 3, 2025 in Biloxi, MS.
B. Motion to approve and pay associated costs for the online continuing education of deputy tax
collectors as follows: Penny Flemming, Kelli Herrin, Erynn Hoda, JoLynn Houston, Ruby Ladner,
Levetta Martin, and Holly Talley.

C. Motion to approve Veterans Officer Cindy Smith to attend virtual certified NACVSO training July
12-19, 2025.
D. Motion to approve travel and cost associated with training.

A. Motion to spread upon the minutes the AAA Ambulance Service Report for February 2025.
B. Motion to spread upon the minutes Building Permits Report for March 2025. The Department of
Planning & Development issued 184 permits for the period of March 1-31, 2025. The 184 permits
generated $21,722.00 in revenue for the County.
C. Motion to spread upon the minutes the Fire Marshal Activity Report for March 2025.
D. Motion to Spread Upon the minutes the Justice Court Monthly Report for March 2025.
E. Motion to spread upon the minutes meals served to inmates at the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice
Center by Summit for March 2025.
F. Motion to spread upon the minutes the Animal/Litter Control Monthly Report for March 2025.
G. Motion to spread upon the minutes the Building Inspection Monthly Report for March 2025.
H. Motion to spread upon the minutes the Road Department Monthly Report for March 2025.
I. Motion to spread upon the minutes Waste Management 1st Quarter 2025 Host Fee in the amount of
$8152.15.

15) Road Department:
A. Motion to approve updates to the road paving list and paving order of completion for 2025 and
acknowledge the monthly paving report.

A. Motion to authorize the President to execute the first reimbursement request for project SDG-S-029
for the Pearl River County Industrial Park.
