[PAGE 1] March 24, 2026 Wesley Lake Commission Meeting In attendance: Ed Lacombe Melvin Fitzpatrick Anthony Thompson Barbara Lesinski Keith Fiori James Rokosny Jenn Schimpf Ed Lacombe opened the meeting at 7:04PM with member roll call and reading of the Open Public Meetings Act. No one from the public was present. Approval of the Minutes: Barbara moved to accept the minutes of Feb 17, 2026, and Jim seconded. All others in favor. Gail will forward minutes to municipalities to be posted on the websites. Membership - Tassie York was in attendance. She will replace Kevin McMillen, from Neptune. Tassie needs to be sworn in at a future meeting. Treasurers Report - Current balance is $21,537.08. Ed received $1200 from each municipality from both Asbury Park and Neptune. Geese Management - Anthony informed the Committee that the Geese Chasers have complained of sewage and foul smell around the dock on the Asbury Park side. Melvin was also aware of the correspondence. Both sent members from DPW to review the area for inspection. Both concluded the odor was consistent with stagnant water. Melvin said they would clean out the cage on the west end. In their opinion it does not smell like sewage. Jenn forwarded Gail correspondence from the Geese Chasers to Anthony. Gail please forward the Geese Chasers the water quality report. The committee agreed that we need to ensure the Geese Chasers are fulfilling the obligations of their contract. Aerator - Anthony will coordinate with Manny. By the April meeting they will come back with cable recommendations, including costs. And also, labor estimates. They will also consider moving the box. There was also additional discussion about placement and operations. The Committee recommended that if Wesley Lake is lowered in anticipation of a storm, DPW should turn off the power to the aerators. Anthony will do this going forward. [PAGE 2] Deed - Jim has procured a second deed. He will personally give it to Eileen. The cost was $94. Motion to reimburse Jim for the cost of the second deed. Barbara first, Ed seconded. All others in favor. Ed wrote a check to Jim. Missing Swallow Sign - The Swallow Sign was located on the Ocean Grove side of the Heck Street Bridge. It has gone missing. The Committee agreed that the sign should be replaced. Jenn made a motion, and Barbara seconded to replace the Swallow Sign for an amount less than $1000. All others agreed. Barbara will order the sign. Floating Islands - Need to be relocated and cleaned out. Ed will work on this and coordinate with Anthony. Goal to be completed by the end of May. Pedestrian Bridge - Phase 2. Senator Palone to make a request for additional funding for the next phase. Ed provided a letter from Gail Rosewater dated 3/18/26 to Senator Kim regarding support for Neptune Township Coastal Lakes Restoration Project (included as an attachment to this email). Ed provided a letter from John Moor to Frank Palone dated 3/19/26 regarding support for Neptune Township Coastal Lakes Restoration Project (included as an attachment to this email). Lights on Bridge - Melvin's team is calling JCPL daily. Fletcher Lake - William Grafton, of the Fletcher Lake Commission sent an email of thanks for inviting him to attend the Wesley Lake Commission Meeting on Feb 17, 2026.
