Council Minutes

January 24, 2022

The Mayor and Council of Atmore met in a regular meeting on Monday, January 24, 2002, at 4:00 p.m. at the City Hall with the following members present:  Webb Nall, Jerome Webster, Eunice Johnson, Shawn Lassiter, and Chris Harrison.

A quorum being present, Mayor Staff called the meeting to order. Councilmember Johnson led in prayer followed by the pledge of allegiance.

Minutes of the January 10, 2022, regular meeting – A motion was made by Shawn Lassiter and seconded by Eunice Johnson to approve the minutes of the January 10, 2022, regular meeting as written. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

Resolution 2022-02 -Letting of Bids on Police Department Vehicles – This resolution authorizes the letting of bids for seven (7)  vehicles for the Police Department. A motion was made by Chris Harrison and seconded by Jerome Webster to let bids on five patrol vehicles, 1 SUV, and one truck for the Police Department. These items are in the budget. A motion was made by Chris Harrison and seconded by Jerome Webster to approve Resolution 2022-02. The motion was approved.

Resolution 2022-01 - Renewal of First National Bank and Trust Line of Credit – This resolution authorizes the Mayor to execute the paperwork to renew the $2.5 million line of credit with FNB and Trust. The rate of interest is 3.45%. A motion was made by Webb Nall and seconded by Shawn Lassiter to approve Resolution 2022-01. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

ABC Application The Coffee House – Kerra Mascaro, owner of The Coffee House, came before the council to request approval of an ABC application for retail beer and table wine. A motion was made by Shawn Lassiter and seconded by Webb Nall to approve the ABC application. Vote: all ayes. The motion was approved.

A motion was made by Webb Nall and seconded by Eunice Johnson to adjourn. Vote: all ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
