MONTCALM COUNTY OPIOID TASK FORCE MEETING NOTES Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. 3rd Floor Conference Room, Administrative Building 211 W. Main Street, Stanton, MI 48888 Members Present: Jim Dimitriou Brenda Taeter Julianna Kozara Andy Doezema Kate Behrenwald Liz Braddock Members Absent: Kristen Lindsey Kim Becher Others Present: Michelle Becker The committee reviewed the 2026 application for opioid funding and discussed some changes/additions. Members would like to see a one-page summary that contains all the details of the request and for those that received funding in past years, a summary of any unspent funds. The committee also reviewed the biannual annual progress report and suggested no changes. Application will be available October 1st and are due by October 31st. The committee discussed advertising and agreed to running an ad twice a month in September in the Daily News. Brenda reported receiving $242,087.76 in funding from various entities this past week. The committee discussed the yearly allotment of $225,000.00 being offered for 2026 and are hopeful that marijuana funding will be available. The committee discussed a replacement for John Kroneck, who was employed by the MMDHD and represented many entities in the community leading prevention efforts. Members had a few ideas for a replacement and will reach out and follow up with Brenda if any are interested. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th at 8:00 a.m. to review applications. The committee plans to make a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners at their November 10, 2025 meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:44 a.m. 1
