Meeting Called to Order @ 7:30AM

Departmental Updates:
Economic Development Department:
• Econ 101 Presentation
o What is the Port Authority
o Reviewed Economic Landscape

▪ Industry
• Arbor Homes Presentation – Drew Miller
o Low $200K homes - $256K average after upgrades
o Mix of 40ft and 50ft lots
o 40% will be first time buyers
o Will plant 1,000 Trees
o Will have HOAs
o Turn lanes into development and Rainbow
o Have increased buffer from houses on Rainbow, now 80ft from back of rainbow
yard to back of new houses.
Community Development Department:
• Explained background of department for new council members
o CBDG – Receive approx $500K/year
o CHIP Grant – Receive from the State and used to rehab entire homes
o HHP – Receive from HUD for items such as radon and hand rails
