A. Motion to approve the following changes in personnel:
Accept the resignation of Tabitha Brewer as full-time Correctional Officer effective May 26, 2025.
Accept the resignation of Kenneth Mitchell as Court Bailiff effective May 30, 2025.
Accept the termination of Angelle Powell as full-time Correctional Officer effective May 28, 2025.
Hire William Harry, III as part-time Correctional Officer effective June 2, 2025.
Hire Ethan Martin as full-time Correctional Officer effective June 2, 2025.
Hire Amanda Simpson as full-time Correctional Officer effective June 2, 2025.
H ire Logan Walton as full-time Correctional Officer effective June 2, 2025.
5) Building Code:
A. Public hearing in reference to non-compliance in violation of county codes and derelict property on
the following addresses:

6) Chancery Clerk:
A. Motion to approve the hire of Kayleigh Portier as a full-time employee of Chancery Clerk office
effective June 2, 2025.
7) County Engineer:
A. Motion to approve payment to JE Tally Construction for bridge repair on Hilt Fornea Rd in the
amount of $63,300.00.
B. Motion to approve payment for R and J Construction Pay Application No. 1 - Grade Drain and Base
- Industrial Park
C. Motion to approve supplemental agreement No. 1 for the HSIP Project which will add pay items for
guard rail addition.
8) Planning & Development:
A. Motion to approve the following plumbing standard update for Pearl River County effective July 1,
2025:
1. All newly installed incoming water service lines on any residential or commercial new slab
construction in Pearl River County shall be buried underground and stubbed out through the
building slab, into the wall at the point of entry.
2. A full-port shut-off valve shall be installed in a residential valve box, at or near the point of entry

for all new service connections in Pearl River County.
3. Surface-mounted or above-grade water line entries through exterior walls of on slab houses, shall
no longer be allowed in residential or commercial construction in Pearl River County.
B. Motion to approve Shirlen Herndon as temporary part-time personnel effective June 2, 2025.
9) Consent Agenda Items:
A. Motion to authorize the request of the Christian Motorcyclist Association to use the Board of
Supervisors parking lot on Main St. during the Blueberry Jubilee on June 13-14, 2025.
B. Motion to purchase and issue check for two replacement light poles for the ball fields at McNeill.
C. Motion to approve the issuance of a duplicate warrant in the amount of $440.58 to Home Depot
Credit Services.
D. Motion to approve the issuance of a duplicate warrant in the amount of $667.11 to Wal-Mart
Community/GEMB.
E. Motion to approve the payment of $3766.78 to the Capital One Spark Business Card for the
payment due June 20, 2025. All receipts for transactions are attached.
F. Motion to approve the Picayune School District 16th Section residential lease for Mamie D Walles.
G. Motion to approve the Picayune School District 16th Section residential lease for Deon and Cynthia
McDougle.
H. Motion to approve the Picayune School District 16th Section commercial/residential lease for
Elancy Investments, Inc.
10) Grants Administration:
A. Motion to approve the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Waste Tire Grant (WT
788) award for $40,000.00 and allow the Board President to sign all related documents.
11) Travel:
A. Motion to approve Supervisor Donald Hart to attend the Mississippi Association of Supervisors
Minority Caucus Summer Meeting on June 8-11, 2025 in Biloxi, MS.
