[PAGE 1] HISTORICAL COMMISSION Minutes January 12, 2026 @ 6:30 p.m. A regular meeting of the Historical Commission was held Monday, January 12, 2026, in the Commissions Room at City Hall The meeting was called to order at 6:33 p.m. Members Commissioners: Judith Chuhran, Jeff Wagar, Richard Hudzinski, John Hodgson, Peter Poulos Excused absence: Nada Frost, Caitlyn Spezia Others present: Approve minutes Moved by Peter Poulos, supported by John Hodgson to approve minutes from December 8, 2025, meeting Motion carried Financial Report: J. Wagar Moved by Peter Poulos, supported by John Hodgson to approve the financial report of $7,072.07 balance Motion carried Communications: A. Past Perfect – notify if need help/reminder B. History news Recording Secretary Report – Richard Hudzinski Nothing to report Corresponding Secretary – Vice Chairman’s Report: – John Hodgson Nothing to report Old Business: A. Outdoor Maintenance/Improvement: i. All roping down/Christmas decorations put away B. Indoor Maintenance/Improvement: i. Hallway repair: report – plasterer said looks good and solid/Bob Baker said need to glue paper back on, clean wall with bleach water [PAGE 2] ii. Heating/cooling report for upstairs – hoping to set another proposal C. Collection Status: i. Equipment needs: Need to purchase additional racks, shelving and hampers. Proposal to purchase items – all in favor to order ii. Goals for 2026/month: Judy - list will be handed out at the end of the month iii. Alvin Clark loan items status: Peter – taken care of for another year D. Activity Reports: i. 250-year celebration Time Capsule report – Peter Poulos – Meeting presentation update at City Council Meeting, Tuesday, January 20 – need to decide where the capsule is going to be placed. ii. Next Library display: May has been reserved – think of ideas iii. Winterfest January 21: not participating – we are closed New Business: A. Budget wish list report: – Judy – i. retaining wall ii. backyard iii. painting the museum iv. Caitlyn Spezia interested in doing data entry for Past Perfect Program v. Cemetery walk 6-8 people B. Tour request: i. Questors – Mary Steffy – Wednesday tour for her group- whenever possible C. Promotional ideas: Judy- Table for February D. Tour guides sign-up sheet – February/Saturdays E.
