GRIMES COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSION - KATHY WELLS (JF)
3. Consideration and possible approval of a request to erect the Texas Historical Commission
standing marker for African American Texas Legislator James H. Washington on the grounds
at the historic Grimes County courthouse.
GRIMES HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER - LARA MEECE (PC)
4. Review and take action to approve the FY 2026 Senior Meal Rate Setting and the FY 2026
Brazos Valley Area Agency on Aging Subrecipient Agreement and authorize the County Judge
as signatory.
GRIMES COUNTY ELECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR - RACHEL WALKER (JF)
5. Consider and take action to approve the 2025 National Voter Registration Day Resolution and
declare September 16, 2025 as National Voter Registration Day, and authorize the County
Judge as signatory.
6. Discuss and take action to approve out-of-state travel for the Grimes County Elections
Administrator.

7. Consider and take action on recommendations from Fire Chiefs for Volunteer Fire Department

10. Discuss and take action to increase County Judge's bond to $500,000 as required by statute.

12. Consider the proposed budget for FY 2025/2026 and take action to adopt the budget with a
record vote pursuant to Local Government Code 111.008.
*NOTE: Budget must be adopted before the tax rate pursuant to Local Government Code
111.010.

13. Consider and take action to adopt the tax rate with a record vote for Grimes County for Tax
Year 2025 pursuant to Local Government Code 111.010 as follows:
We, the Commissioners Court of Grimes County, do hereby adopt the tax rate per $100t axable
valuation for Grimes County for Tax Year 2025 as follows:
$0.423077 for the purposes of maintenance and operations
$0.000000 for the payment of debt service
$0.423077 total tax rate
14. Consider and take action regarding the Burn Ban and authorize the County Judge as signatory.
(Not currently under burn ban order.)
GRIMES COUNTY ATTORNEY - MEGAN BARCAK (JF)
15. Consider and take action in furtherance of the sales of the following, whether in whole or in
part: 7.582 acres on Veterans Memorial Drive, Navasota, Texas, the Road & Bridge building
(1022 Hwy 90 South, Anderson, Texas), the Environmental Department building (1010 Hwy
90 South, Anderson, Texas), and/or other county-owned properties located in the Town of
Anderson. It is expected that the Court will convene a closed or executive session regarding
this item pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.072 (Deliberation Regarding Real
Property).
