Welcome & Call to Order
1) Board Minutes:
A. Consider approving Board Minutes for July 23, 2025.
2) Claims Docket:
A. Consider approving Claims Docket for August 4, 2025.
3) Public Presentations:
A. Cleon Dillard to discuss library budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
B. Yabsira Adera to discuss details of SBA disaster loan assistance for Pearl River County.
4) Central Dispatch:
A. Motion to accept the resignation of Cameron Morris effectively July 29, 2025.
B. Motion to approve the hiring of Hayley Saucier as a fulltime Dispatcher effective August 4, 2025.
5) Circuit Clerk:
A. Motion to acknowledge the Order of the Lamar County Board of Education dated July 15, 2025, for
a Special Election to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for the position of Lamar County
School Board Member for District C.
B. Motion to acknowledge Official Bond and Oath for Christina Saucier, Deputy Circuit Clerk, for the
term commencing on August 16, 2025 and ending on August 16, 2026.
6) County Administrator:
A. Motion to approve the payment of $4,211.00 to the Capital One Spark Business Card for the
Statement due August 20, 2025. All receipts for transactions are included.
B. Motion to approve the appointment of Adrain Lumpkin, Melinda Bowman, and Malcolm Perry as
the audit representatives for Pearl River County and authorize all parties to sign.
7) County Engineer:
A. Motion to approve Contractor Pay Application No. 2. payment for Bill Watson Park Improvements
Project and issue check to John C. Lee Enterprises Limited, LLC.
8) Inventory/Safety:
A. Motion to acknowledge the renewal of the official bond and oath of Inventory Clerk, Gerald
Bounds, beginning September 25th, 2025, through September 25th, 2026.
9) Sheriff:
A. Motion to approve the following personnel matters.
Move Tania Lucas from Patrol to Investigations effective July 31, 2025.
Accept the resignation of Dillon Ladner as full-time Correctional Officer effective July 30, 2025.
10) Tax Assessor/Collector:
A. Motion to acknowledge the renewal of the official bond and oath of Deputy Tax Collector, Sarah
Lee, for the term of August 24, 2025, through August 24, 2026.
B. Motion to acknowledge the renewal of the official bond and oath of Tax Assessor/ Collector, Gary
K. Beech, for the term of January 1, 2024, through January 1, 2028.

C. Motion to acknowledge the renewal of the official bond and oath of Deputy Tax Collector, Kelli
Herrin, for the term of February 1, 2024, through February 1, 2025.
11) Consent Agenda Items:
A. Motion to approve the Picayune School District 16th Section residential lease for Draeshund K.
Magee.
12) Travel:
A. Motion to approve Coroner Derek Turnage to attend the 25th annual conference on Alzheimer's
Disease and Related Dementia's on August 20-21, 2025 at the Hilton Jackson Hotel & Conference
Center in Jackson, MS. The travel expenses will cost $508.00 and, as this certification will suffice
the continuing education requirements for the office of Coroner.
B. Motion to approve the Board of Supervisors and County Officials to attend the MAS 2025 Fall
Educational & Policy Development Conference October 8-10, 2025, at the Oxford Conference
Center in Oxford, MS.
C. Motion to approve the travel and reimbursement of hotel and other costs for Rob Williams to attend
the MASIT Law Enforcement Risk Management Conference
August 12 - 13, 2025 in Flowood, MS. Williams will travel in his county-assigned unit.
13) Road Department:
A. Motion to accept the application of Justin Prejean and hire as full-time mechanic to start effectively
on August 14, 2025.
B. Motion to acknowledge the renewal of the official bond and oath of Charlie Schielder, County Road
Manager for the term of August 6, 2025, through August 6, 2026.
C. Motion to approve 34 Houston Road, Poplarville, MS, an additional Poplarville School Bus
Turnaround for the 2025-2026 school year.

A. Motion to open Public Hearing for Objections to the 2025 Tax Assessment Rolls.
