Utilities Collection Office – Molly Azbell • Customer notification updates: o Customers may request a primary phone (home, mobile, work). o Customers may select preferred contact method (email, SMS, or voice). • Payment processing update: o 4,894 AutoPay accounts transferred from Muni-Link to Global Payment o ACH payments now processed as eChecks (no fees), more secure & less fraud. [PAGE 2] o Recurring payment notification example provided. o 72-hour notice implemented for AutoPay customers. o Expiring payment method procedures reviewed. • Water Service Line Inspections: o EPA-required inspections ongoing. o 2025 inspections totaled 16,278. o Some inspections require inside access to residences. • Gas Corrosion Inspections: o Annual corrosion inspections required. o Compliance procedures reviewed. • Discussion: o Availability of paperless statements as an option for customers o Process for renters in multifamily units to see their usage. o Possible changes for easier transfer of services for inter-city moving of existing customers. Municipal Gas Department – Kurtis Waite • 2024–2026 Main Replacement Project: o 4,080 ft of low-pressure main replaced. o 650 services addressed. o Project currently under budget. • Lodge Main Replacement (Sheridan Drive): o Easement legislation anticipated. • Developing real-time pressure monitoring for regulator stations. • Implementing data tools to ensure gas supply contract efficiency. • Gas Supply Update: o February 2026 average cost approximately $4.76/dth. o Colder-than-normal winter conditions. o Market volatility impacting pricing. • Personnel Update: o Two employees retired. o Additional retirement expected later in 2026. • Smart meter pilot program • LMG pricing currently over 30% lower than Columbia Gas of Ohio New Business: None.
