A. Consider application for Demolition Grant I for a property located at 436 North 6th Street

structure, assessed as “poor” condition, grade 5 (below average), and build a new single-family home

Miscellaneous Business
City Manager Mike Schrock provided a brief history of the committee, its work, and how the role of the
committee has changed over the years. He asked members to give some thought to dissolving the
committee and reassigning the work to City staff and the Mahaska Chamber through their
subcommittee that focuses on housing initiatives as part of that organization’s strategic plan.
Committee members provided their initial viewpoints; City staff will prepare and send a plan of action
for committee review and consideration.
It was moved by Spoelstra, seconded by Sauer to adjourn 12:20 p.m.
