The Board of Trustees of Sugarcreek Township, Greene County, Ohio, held a Fire/EMS
Public Input meeting on May 19, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at the Bellbrook/Sugarcreek Middle
School in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio 45305.
Mrs. Daugherty called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Board Members Nadine Daugherty, Scott
Bryant and Mike Pittman were present along with Fiscal Officer Ted Hodson. In addition, Barry
Tiffany, Township Administrator, Fire Chief Randy Pavlak, Police Chief Mike Brown and
Greene County Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie Hayden were present.
Mrs. Daugherty said the meeting would be open and questions or suggestions would be
discussed throughout the meeting as it progressed. The Board presented an overview of the Fire
Budget and associated problems, department growth and structure options and sharing of
overlapping services.
Mr. Hodson also commented on the Fire budget and on the Police, Roads and General Fund
Budgets.
All questions and suggestions were discussed as they were presented except for those deemed
unanswerable by Ms. Hayden due to current litigation.
The meeting was solely informational and no business was conducted by the Board. The
attendance started to slowly dwindle around 8:30 pm and the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 9:00 pm.
