I'm just gonna sit back and watch. Yeah, right. All right, it is 5.30, so we can call the Personnel Committee for the City of Mellon's Walk to order. Roll call, all members are present. Next on the agenda, public comment. Is there anybody from the public who'd like to comment? Second call for comment. Third call for comment. Any submitted comment? No. Nobody online? No. All right, we'll close public comment. Next on the agenda is the consent agenda. Are there any items we'd like to have removed or discussed? All right. So I'll take a motion. Move to approve the consent agenda. Second. Moved by Schley, seconded by Siklitz to approve the consent agenda. Any further discussion? No discussion. Oh, sorry, no discussion. Thank you. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Same sign. All right. All right, first action item on the agenda is 260385 Classification of Market Review and Job Discussion Updates for the Surveyor Engineering Technician. Thank you. There was a memo on this agenda written by Dan, our Director of Public Works. and he explained what we wanted to do with this position. So this position's been held for a long time by an employee who's been here probably over 25, close to 30 years, I want to say. Okay, and the job is currently the surveyor technician. It's a unique position. He does all the surveying work, but he also does a lot of engineering work, too, which is a unique set of skills that people usually, you usually can't find an employee who does both of those things. So because of that, we did revamp his job description in the past month, and we sent it in to Carlson, now Cottingham Butler, for some repricing, and they did recommend moving it from grade I to grade J. So what we're asking for tonight is approval on the job description updates that we made, and then also approval the moving of that position on the compensation structure. Any questions for Jesse? Jesse, when this position becomes vacant through hopefully retirement at some point and not any other way, do we anticipate changing it back to the way it was just because of the uniqueness of the individual skill set and the probably an ability to find somebody with those unique skill sets? Thank you for bringing that up. Yes, we do. As a rule, I don't necessarily love creating jobs for a specific individual. However, this is just one of those circumstances where it makes sense financially for us to be doing it this way. And yes, that is the plan. Through attrition, we do hope to, once Mike retires, we will work to revamp, probably, we'll look at the whole entire department, the engineering, or division, I should say, engineering division to determine what the best path forward is as far as either filling that or contracting out or whatever it comes to be. Okay, perfect. Thank you. You're welcome. Anything else for Jesse? Any other questions? Then I'll make a motion to approve as presented. Second. Motion by Cicholet, seconded by Beaman to accept as presented. Any further discussion? All in favor? All right. Any opposed? All right, motion carries. We'll put that on the consent agenda at council. Next item on the agenda is item 0396, resolution to hire seasonal employees related to elected officials, department heads, or supervisory personnel. Jesse? This is an item you've seen a couple of times already this year, and it pertains to an ordinance that requires any employees that are related to either a manager or an elected official to be approved by personnel and then ultimately by council to work here as seasonal employees. So these employees are related to a supervisor in DPW and then also a supervisor in the fire department. All right, are there any questions for Jesse? All right, no questions. Then we'll entertain a motion, please. Motion to approve the resolution. Second. Motion by Schley, second by Beaman to accept the resolution. Any further discussion? All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? All right, so we will put that on council on non-consent since it'll have to be motioned by the council or accepted by council. With that, that exhausts our agenda. I'll take a motion to adjourn. So moved. Second. We are adjourned. Thank you. I never turned my keyboard on. What the heck? Some of them were here for two, three hours.
