G-2) 2025-498 Consideration of a Resolution of Intent, Street Abandonment Case 25-02 City Council is requested to consider a Resolution of Intent to [PAGE 4] establish a public hearing date of Monday, February 16, 2026, to consider the abandonment (permanent closure) of a 2,570+ foot long (approximately 0.48-mile) unnamed right-of-way. The proposed abandonment is for an unimproved/unnamed 64-foot- wide right-of-way lying east of Cashatte Road (SR1155) and west of Guilford County Tax Parcel 158475. This is an unimproved right-of-way bisecting Guilford County Tax Parcel 213048 and depicted on a map entitled “Exclusion Map for MRR of High Point, LLC (New Lot A)” as recorded in Plat Book 150, Page 96, in the Guilford County Register of Deeds Office. G-3) 2025-497 Public Hearing Regarding Street Abandonment Case 25-01 A request by the Public Service Department to abandon (permanent closure) a 2,185+ foot-long portion (approximately 0.42-mile) of the Kersey Valley Road right-of-way (a 60-foot-wide right-of-way). The proposed abandonment is for that portion of Kersey Valley Road abutting the City’s Municipal Landfill, lying south of the Kivett Drive and running southward to the northern property line of parcels addressed as 1300 & 1303 Kersey Valley Road (northern property line of Guilford County Tax Parcels 161499 & 161531).
