This will be paid from Acct# Community Development’s Economic Development Professional Services and reimbursed during the initial year of the Urban County Entitlement CDBG Allocation Administration budget. Sanitary Engineer: #13 Enter into an emergency contract with S&S Contracting LLC in the amount of $7,400 for the sanitary lateral repair at 8 Waterfall Drive in the Brentwood Lake Development in Carlisle Township. This will be paid from Acct# Sanitary Stormwater Management District: #14. Authorize Lorain County to provide a loan in the amount of $900,000.00 for the acquisition of land to Creekwood Development, LLC to facilitate Development and necessary public improvements. Lorain County has applied for a Residential Economic Development District grant from the State of Ohio in the amount of $2,500,000 which allows for assisting in the assembly of land, public infrastructure and utility improvements. Stormwater Utility Fees Acct#stormwater client loan is an alternative funding source available to be used pursuant to R.C. 6117.02(D) in case the REDD grant is not awarded, delayed in award, or not fully awarded, because the property includes a needed drainage improvement. The County loan will be secured by guaranty and mortgage and is anticipated to be repaid in full by August of 2026. Workforce Development Agency: #15 Reappoint various members to the Lorain County Workforce Development Board effective retroactive to January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2029 1. Report is intended to summarize the condition of the 237 bridges (structures over 10 feet in clear span) that the County owns and maintains. County is responsible for inspecting each bridge which range in span from 10 feet to 305 feet. #17 Award & enter into a contract with US Bridge of Cambridge, Ohio in the amount of $142,246.00 for the Hawley Rd Bridge No. 0185 & 0279 Project in Huntington Township. Only 1 bid was received. Work consists of supply and delivery of two galvanized steel beam bridge superstructure and related materials to site. Structure 0185 is to be 17 ft – 6 inch overall with a 22 ft roadway width. Structure 0279 is to be 16 ft – 6 inch overall with a 24 ft roadway width. Each structure must include detailed plans and load ratings signed and sealed by a registered professional engineer licensed in the State of Ohio. Issue a Notice to Proceed upon full execution of the contract and the work will be completed on or before July 1, 2026 to be paid form Acct#Permissive Engineer Bridge Project. Authorize County Administrator to notify County Auditor to release retainage at the completion of the project.
