Lund Town Council
Minutes of Meeting for
January 20, 2026
Chairman Lorin Peacock brought the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Approval of minutes for meeting held November 18, 2025. Motioned by Lee Ringueberg and
seconded by Moroni Perez. All members present approved.
Public Comment: Caroline McIntosh with White Pine Mainstreet. White Pine Mainstreet is an
organization that supports downtown businesses and makes main streets more attractive. Their
mission is to support every town in White Pine County. Caroline is willing to help find grants and
partners to accomplish goals to beautify our town. She needs our ideas along with a financial
plan to accomplish these ideas. The Lund Town wishlist should have 3 or 4 items that are a
priority to our town and the wishlist should include a budget. Caroline is willing to teach people
in our community how to write grants.
Kathy Workman– Attended the meeting to help the council set a budget for 2027. The council
discussed the following budget:
Information Technology: $1,000.00
Advertising for the Rodeo: $600.00
Secretary Salary: $1,200.00
Operating Expenses: $3,000.00
Electricity: $8,000.00
Misc.: $6,200.00
Lorin Peacock – The flags for main street: Kelvin will cut the poles, Moroni’s class will make the
caps for the lights to sit in for 38 poles. Possibly putting up a flag on the museum lot, checking
for noise pollution and working out how to pay for the electricity for the light for the flag. The
lights for the backstreet, Moroni will take pictures and send them to Mt. Wheeler.
Lee Ringueberg – Will call the county about the leak in the Community Center. She would like to
purchase cleaning supplies for the Community Center.
Katie Carter – Will make phone calls to Cole concerning the Lund Cemetery watering system.
Also, make an agenda for the Cinco De Mayo party.

Moroni Perez – Will paint the pickleball lines this Spring. Thinking of making a “Wall of Fame” in
the community Center. Plaques would be made for community members who have gone above
and beyond for our community. A picture of the person accepting the award could be posted on
Facebook. Moroni will talk to Tim Moser about possibly making the plaques.
Mike Woodyard– Will make designs for the library stands.
Shawn Hamilton– Will oversee the cleaning of the metal dump site. The tree limb dump debris
is ready to be burned.
Other Business: The Lund Town Council would like to thank Martin Trout and his crew for the
work done on the county roads and the tree limb dump.
Lee Ringueberg motioned to adjourn, Katie Carter seconded and all members present approved.
The next meeting will be held February 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Lund Community Building.
