RESOLUTION NO. 26-09
RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED
PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027
WHEREAS, Iowa law requires that Cities hold public hearings on proposed
property tax levies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of University Heights, Iowa has selected
a date for such public hearing concerning the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 property tax levy;
and
WHEREAS, interested persons are welcome to express their views and
comments regarding the proposed property tax levy for Fiscal Year 2026-2027,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
University Heights, Iowa, as follows:
1. The City Council shall meet at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st day of March, 2026,
at 1302 Melrose Avenue, University Heights, at which time a public
hearing will be held regarding the proposed property tax levy for Fiscal
Year 2026-2027.
2. City Staff are hereby directed to provide notice of the public hearing by
publication as required by law.
