Weed Control Program
Mark advised the board of the treatment dates for each lake. Middle – 5/13, 6/16, and
7/26. Rainbow – 5/23, 6/20, and 7/26. Mark advised that there was not a ton of growth
from the winter. Algae is starting to pop with the sudden heat and sun from the last few
days. Chara is still a big problem on Middle Lake. Mark advised that lily pad treatments
would be best if they are done in the fall and residents wanting their lily pads treated
should put a milk jug in the yard to mark the lot for treatment. The board discussed the
possible use of percellacore. He provided costs of $525 per acre for a percellacore/diquat
mixture and $950 per acre for the straight percellacore. He believes that straight
percellacore would have the longest lasting effects.
A motion was made by Don and seconded by Kathy to use a treatment of straight
percellacore at a cost of $950 per acre. Motion carried
Financial Update

[PAGE 2]
Todd provided a financial update to the board. He advised that settlement was received
yesterday and the assessment for Rainbow and Middle Lakes will be added to the ledger
once the money has been receded into our ledger system.
Separation of Rainbow and Middle Lakes

advised that they had discussed the separation at the lake association board and decided
that it was not the best course of action.
