The intent of this text amendment is to position the City with reasonable standards for
data centers. As the industry expands, it is in the City’s best interest to be proactive by
establishing reasonable standards and remain informed about its technological
advancements, service needs, and potential impacts on the environment and public
health before a permit is requested.
