NEW RESOLUTIONS:
Temp Res #38-26 Law Committee (Smiley/Ogg) – 3 READINGS
-Miss Smiley explained that this piece will allow the City’s participation in a new national opioid settlement with 6
remnant defendants not part of previous litigation/settlements. No discussion.
Temp Res #39-26 Water/Water Pollution Committee (Ailes/Cohen) – 2 READINGS
-Darren Drumm came to explain that Water Dept. was awarded an energy upgrade grant for South Water
Treatment Plant in the amount of $256k. This piece will allow for a design build contract with Amoresco, who also helped
with the initial energy audit for the grant application.
NEW ORDINANCES:
Temp Ord #7-26 Code Enforcement & Zoning Committee (Sollie/Knisley) – 3 READINGS
-City Planner Carter explained that with this final plat acceptance for Victory Commons we will be the right away for
sidewalk and left turn lane from the County.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES:
-SSD Woody announced Fetter’s Run Clean-up on Thursday from 3-5pm with a student-led group from LHS.
-Mayor McDaniel congratulated Chief Snyder on his graduation from the FBI National Academy training in Quantico,
Virginia.
-Chief Snyder came up to announce the promotion of Officer Andrew Bennett to Sargent.
