a) Communications Director started Monday, March 22, 2026 (job share with commissioners)

Ensuring that communications are clear, accurate, supportive of county commissioner’s mission; and
Visitors Bureau sponsored events/activities are communicated in a timely manner to residents & visitors.
b) ICSC Show Booth for May 18-20, 2026 is now in production with Latitude 41 Creative. David Moore &
Brenda Philips will be attending event from Visitors Bureau Board.
c) Cleveland Pops Orchestra, County/America 250 Celebration, Friday, July 24, 2026 waiting on
agreement/contract from orchestra conductor that was tweaked by county – should have back by
Tuesday, March 31 for Chairman Moore to sign. Orchestra conductor has been traveling since first of the
month.
d) Rockin’ On The River, Black River Landing, Lorain. Approve architectural signage for Lorain County Visitors
Bureau on location for summer concert series starting – Friday, June 5, 2026.
e) 2026 Rockin’ On The River Summer Concert Series to be released to the public Friday, March 27, 2026.
f) Rockin’ On The River – multiple headliners to punctuate the 2026 season Labor Day Weekend - $$$.
g) FOX8 to name Lorain County Visitors Bureau Co-sponsor of the 54th Annual Wolleybear Festival, Vermilion.
The biggest one-day festival in Ohio (exceeding 100,000 visitors), will be either Sunday, September 27 or
Sunday October 4 depending on Browns NFL home schedule.
h) Showse Park, Vermilion – named after an acronym representing (6) Native American tribes that once
inhabited the area: Sandusky, Huron, Ottawa, Wyandot, Seneca, & Erie. – Visitors Bureau Heritage Fund
