SKOKIE STORMWATER TASK FORCE MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10, 2024
PRESENT: Krish Mohip, Dick Lanyon, Joanne Haeberlin, Director of Public Works Max Slankard, Director of Engineering
Russ Rietveld, Jeff Julkowski(CBBEL), Mike Burke(CBBEL) and Dan Bounds(B&W)
CALL TO ORDER
Russ Rietveld called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Quorum was not established.
Dan Bounds from Baxter and Woodman provided information about the Village’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System(MS4)
permit. Dan provided an overview of the IEPA program and the Village’s responsibilities/requirements. QA discussion followed.
Jeff Julkowski from Christopher Burke Engineering provided a review of the previous task force meeting. QA discussion followed.
Mike Burke provided an overview of the potential public improvements identified to date and comparison of the modeling results for
the current rainfall bulletin compared to the rainfall bulletin in place when the original stormwater management system was designed
and installed. QA discussion followed.
Russ Rietveld discussed how the current approach would be for limited public improvement and the creation of an overhead sewer
conversion program due to the extreme cost and difficulty of complete public improvement. QA discussion followed.
