MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
February 17,2026

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Board Chair Willard Evans.
The January 20, 2026 Regular Meeting minutes were reviewed and approved as
written.
Chair Evans read the opening statement in accord with the Open Meetings Act and
called for public comments. John Larionpsi, a resident, made a statement relative to
crime prevention in his neighborhood and that the residents would like to see more
police presence. Deputy Police Chief John Oakley presented his business card to
the resident stating he would be willing to meet with him relative to his concerns.
The Board reviewed and approved a memorandum submitted by Police Chief
Barnes announcing the resignation of Police Officer David Mui after having served
five years in the Department. Upon acceptance of his resignation, the Board
thanked Officer Mui for his service and extended best wishes to him in his future
endeavors.
The Board reviewed and approved the Entry Level Police Officer Fina! Eligibility List
of 66 candidates effective February 17, 2026 through February 16, 2028.
With no further business on the agenda, at 6:12 p.m. Board Chair Willard Evans made
a motion to move into Executive Session, seconded by Vice Chair Helene Levine. The
