Council Member Ponce is absent. Council Member Padilla. Present. Council Member Villapadua. Present. Vice Mayor Lee. Present. And Mayor Fugazi. Present. We have a quorum. Wonderful. okay so at this time we will have public comment and just a reminder public comment for closed session may only be what closed is on the agenda so labor negotiations or public employee recruitment and you will have three minutes depending on who do we have do we have public speakers okay great zoila Moreno Turn it on. Okay, thank you. Okay. Good evening. First of all, citizens of Stockton, and I just happened to read the sign in front of the city hall. It says, serving the people. And as a matter of fact, I can see, you know, that we are doing things differently. Now, calling meetings on Wednesday, I think that will work for us in Western Ranch. But anyway, I will concentrate in the matter of hand. I'm hoping today that each city council that is serving the community will do the right thing. Because we voted for you. And I just want to remind everybody, you know, that when they have come to my street, I have put a word of support to you, and that immediately has gained you support from my community. The community is following very closely what has been taking place. And I guess in a private institution, you have six months to pass probation. So we need to come together. Let's stop the bickering, you know, and start working together because we were promised a change that we can count on. So hopefully today I will leave disappointed with whatever decision you took in the closed session. Thank you. That concludes public comment. I think she wanted to say something. Can you grab a blue card? Go ahead, come up to the podium. There's one right here at the podium. Just make sure you turn it in before we retire. Yeah, no problem. Good evening, everyone on the council and others. Mr. Lee, Mrs. Fugazi, good evening, and God bless you all. And I'm sorry, I'm a little nervous because we have families that are going through so much right now. There's missing kids. There's kids that have been found in pieces. And my heart is in pieces. So I sound a little shaky because I am a homeless woman on the streets with children. And I lose my son all the time. But he doesn't want to come home because Stockton is a little stinky. The trash is not being picked up. AND THEN WE HAVE PEOPLE THAT ARE PICKING UP. CAN YOU PAUSE THE TIME FOR ME, PLEASE? I'M SORRY, I CAN'T HEAR MY VOICE. NO, I CAN. BUT THE ITEMS ARE HAVING TO DO WITH US GOING INTO CLOSED SESSION, WHICH IS LABOR NEGOTIATIONS AND EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT. OH, YEAH. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU THAT TRASH IS GOING TO GET PICKED UP TOMORROW. OKAY, GOT IT. THAT'S GOOD NEWS. YEAH, BECAUSE IT'S BEEN STINKING FOR A WHILE. SO GO FUGEZI FUGAZI. TRASH IS GOING TO BE PICKED UP, SHE SAID. GOOD, BECAUSE WE DO WANT TO NEGOTIATE LABOR. We do want to make sure that hard workers, everybody's a hard worker. I've been working since I was 16. My grandmother was the manager at Dameron Hospital before she passed away. I worked for veterans. I graduated from American River College. So we do need to negotiate labor fees and wages because when I'm out here fighting for families like me that can't afford regular apartments because they want three times our paycheck, are the rent we do that absolutely need to talk about labor wages as well as um benefits because i have been working since i was 16 and now they're saying i don't have the benefits to get the teeth put back in my mouth even though it's because i have seizures and epilepsy i don't do any drugs i just have seizures and why can't i afford and i've been working but anyways So yeah, let's talk about wages, labor, negotiating, and bringing this community back. Because there's a lot of work that needs to be done. The trash, a lot of renovations, and getting these homeless families off the streets. God bless you guys. And I'll have this to you. Great. Thank you so much. Okay, so no other public comment? That concludes public comment. So this body will recess to closed session pursuant to section 54957.6. subsection a of the government code and this we will also go into closed session for section five nine excuse me five four nine five seven of the government code so closed session time
