Councilor Smith made an announcement about the Historic Preservation Commission, the Planning and Zoning Commission discussion about housing, and the Veteran’s Day Luncheon. [PAGE 5] Item 16. 44:45 Council Comments Councilor Schacter commented on a book called A Walk Around the Block. Mayor Dehm made a comment about funding for holiday tree lighting downtown. Mayor Pro Tem Zalinski, Councilor Townsley, Councilor Smith, and Councilor Schmahl asked questions and made comments. 1:40:20 Mayor Pro Tem Zalinski moved, seconded by Councilor Schacter, to approve the match of funds with the DDA up to $15,000 out of the tourism fund to light the two areas of town, one on 6th Street and one on 7th Steet. Councilor Townsley, Mayor Pro Tem Zalinski, Councilor Weimer, Councilor Schmahl asked questions and made comments. 1:48:45 The motion passes 5 to 2 with Councilor Smith and Councilor Schmahl voting against. Mayor Pro Tem Zalinski made a comment about Thomson Divide. Item 17. 1:50:25 Report from City Administration City Manager Steve Boyd dispersed printed information regarding annual reviews for City Manager, City Attorney and Municipal Court Judge. He also reported on a controlled burn for fire mitigation near Linwood Cemetery taking place the first weekend in December. He also reported on first amendment auditors. City Attorney Karl Hanlon reported that there will be an executive session immediately before the next council work session on December 4th.
