The committee meeting was called to order by Chair Adams at 12:01 p.m. with the following members
present: Dan Adams, Nancy Brown, Joe Caligiuri, Tammy Sauer, Royce Spoelstra, and Carri Vande Ree.
Members absent: Bernice Hahn, Noel Stahle
Staff present: Shawn Christ and Stephanie Faulkes.
Consider Approval of Consent Agenda as Presented or Amended
It was moved by Sauer, seconded by Brown to approve the consent agenda as presented:
A. Approval of Minutes
B. Approval of Claims
C. Receive and File Accounting Reports
D. Consider approval of revised program documents for First Time Homebuyer Forgivable
Grant
E. Review of Attendance Record
All Ayes, motion passes unanimously.
Regular Agenda
A. Consider application for Demolition Grant 1 for a property located at 609 1st Avenue East
Tim Voss has applied for funds to demolish the structure on the above listed property and build a new
compact ranch home. The estimated construction value of the new home is $221,967.
It was moved by Sauer, seconded by Caligiuri to approve the request. All Ayes, motion passes
unanimously.
B. Consider application for Demotion 1 Grant for a house located at 1206 High Avenue West
Mahaska County Habitat for Humanity has applied for funds to demolish the structure on the property
above listed property and build a new compact ranch home. The estimated construction value of the
new home is $135,196.
It was moved by Caligiuri, seconded by Vande Ree to approve the request. All Ayes, motion passes
unanimously.
Miscellaneous Business
Christ announced the resignation of Bernice Hahn due to work conflicts and encouraged committee to
reach out in the community for new members.
It was moved by Caligiuri, seconded by Vande Ree to adjourn 12:10 p.m.
